In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden group.

The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
